Blue Rose is a universally designed interactive sensory installation, made with Beyond Empathy, Merrigong Theatre Company, and the community of the Illawarra Region of New South Wales, Australia.

The installation was designed for participants with disabilities who are non-verbal — developed through consultation with participants and their carers, with powerful cause-and-effect interaction and age-appropriate universal design.

Areas included a spaceship, kitchen, tangible textures zone, shadow and light play, and reactive projection for drawing and dancing with light.
